XPP
SWIM Lab
The Xtreme Power Performance Swim Lab was created after a lifetime of training, competing, teaching and coaching swimming to give the best of this fantastic sport and contribute to building better humans, developing their skills to survive and enjoy their life. My childhood memories are still fresh in my mind, and all I need to do is close my eyes to see these images from under the natural lakes and beaches with crystal clear water. Being there submersed in that wonderful scenario covered with bubbles and travelling between stones, shells, exotics plants, and colourful fishes is such an experience I wish all people in the world to them understand the simplicity of life. My passion for water and my ability to swim, teach and coach swimming were the essential ingredients to creating the XPP Swim Lab. Here we can be ourselves, develop our skills, become healthier, powerful and learn to compete individually or in a team, supporting each other and building our best version as human beings.

CHILDREN LEARNING TO SWIM
Our swimming classes follow the IFSTA (International Federation of Swimming Teachers' Associations) to promote the internationally highest standards in teaching swimming and survival techniques.
It is a journey that, in the end, the child is qualified to train in any swimming club or to feel safe and confident to enjoy the swimming benefits. It means that the child will perform the four competitive strokes, legal starts, turns and finishes, understand the rules of the Olympic Events and recognise the coaches' language.
For a child to succeed in this first phase of the Athlete's Long Term Development - LTAD, it is essential that the teacher has the knowledge and be responsible for the child's growth related to bones, muscles and neuromuscular systems to ensure healthy, safe and fun experiences. Factors that will affect and define the psychophysiological characteristics of any individual.
ADULTs LEARNING TO SWIM
If you don't know how to swim, or you want to improve your confidence and technique, it's ok! Unfortunately, many people never had the opportunity to learn to swim or had a traumatic experience in the water. The Adult Swimming program was designed with a different approach to meet the specific needs to overcome the barriers and lead the swimmer to an enjoyable and extraordinary sensation of flying, which is relaxed, comfortable and confident inside this unusual wet world.
SWIMMING to compete
Coaching swimming for competitions is not only about the strokes techniques and goes further than starts, turns and finishes. It requires endurance, strength, power and performance, which is developed upon a consistent and well-planned periodisation training program. Regardless of your goal, with a personalised plan and working together, I assure you that we will always overcome the expected result.
Each training program is designed based on the evaluation of test results and compared with your group's benchmark to establish a clear and achievable goal.
In a season training program, you'll have:
- A periodisation graphic with all training phases, from the General Preparation to the end of the Competition phase.- Mesocycles are related to the phases of the training season with descriptions and adaptations to maintain focus and achieve each short-term goal. - The macrocycle refers to each session in the week, with the coaching cue of each drill, such as type, sets, reps, rests, and the main point to develop.
