Coach
who's the Coach ?
Nilson Lorenzato is an Italian made in Brazil, a country famous for sports, sunny days, tropical weather, forests and beaches with white sands and crystal clear waters. A unique environment made him a lifelong swimmer, sometimes competing and sometimes for fun. Unstoppable and fully creative due to his competitive lifestyle, Nilson studied Cinema and successfully became a filmmaker. Living in Italy, he worked as a photographer and graphic designer until he realised that the adrenaline and serotonin released in sport could not compare to anything else.
So in 2014, Nilson came to London and returned to the pools, fields and gyms to stay forever, mainly to help people like him, who were born to do sports, never stop playing. Over the last years, Nilson immersed into human biomechanics and power performance to qualify as a Swimming Coach and Strength & Conditioning Coach.
When the pandemic stopped the earth over that unpredictable year 2020, Nilson went to London South Bank University to graduate in Sports Coaching and Analysis. Stepping up to mix passion and scientific knowledge about sports to bring the best possible experiences to people to grow, reach their maximum potential, and enjoy their lives.
I'm Nilson Lorenzato
Let’s start from that, buddies . . . Never give up . it’s just a waste of time ! !

My work experience
Strength & Conditioning Coach for All Sports
Personal S&C Coach • from 2016
If competing in individual or team sports, in a single race, triathlon or modern pentathlon, the athletes must be guided through quality of movement, strength, speed and power elements to build physical skills and abilities those the chosen sport demands. My work is to assess the sport's needs, compare them to the athlete's tests results, and tailor a specific program designed with clear, measurable and achievable goals to reach the athlete's maximal potential at the end of a consistent training process, which will sync the peak performance to the tapper phase.
S&C for swimmers
Chelsea Westminster Swimming Cub • from 2022
The dry-land coaching sessions are designed based on individual needs and abilities towards the specificity of the swimming demands. All components, from flexibility to power endurance, are worked and elicited to respond to swimming essentials and increase the athlete's performance.
Swimming Coach
Personal Swimming Coaching • from 2016
In short or long-distance competitions, swimming training is not just about perfect stroke techniques but goes beyond starts, turns, and finishes. It requires endurance, strength, power, and performance, which can only develop through a consistent and well-planned training program called periodisation.
All athletes have a swimming race result goal, and it means a fraction of a second of performance to win. However, the result depends only how the athlete and coach have worked over the personal training plane to develop the physiological adaptations the event reqires.
Triathlon COACH
Tri London Club • from 2016 to 2017
The Triathlon swimming discipline was focused on open water and long distance with all aspects, including temperature adaptation, endurance, self-control, pace control and especially the stroke technique to maximise time efficiency and energy economy, improving aerobic and muscular endurence.
Swimming teacher
For the children to succeed in their first phase of the Athlete's Long Term Development - LTAD, it is essential that the teacher has the knowledge and be responsible for the child's growth related to bones, muscles and neuromuscular system to ensure a healthy, safe and fun experiences, factors that will affect and define the physical and emotional characteristics of any individual.
Nuffields Health - Swimming School from 2020 to 2022
Nuffield is not only a leisure club, but it's also a Health Centre. Therefore, teaching swimming at Nuffield Health was more than leading a group of swimmers. It's tailored to the needs of any individual, from small groups to private sessions one-to-one. The program is always to break down the barriers, understand the actual deficiencies, and develop the swim skills to build a consistent and effective performance quality.
GLL - Better Swimming School • from 2015 to 2022
Teaching swimming at GLL had been guided by the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme, where, in the end, the child is qualified to train in any swimming club. The child will perform the four competitive strokes, starts, turns, and finishes, are familiar with Olympic events and recognise the coaches' technical language to attend the training.
